What is the purpose of our Cookie Policy?
Synneo, which manages this platform, places great importance on the confidentiality of your personal data, which represents a guarantee of seriousness and trust for us — including regarding cookies.
As such, our Cookie Policy reflects our commitment to ensuring compliance within Synneo with applicable data protection regulations, and in particular those relating to cookies used when you access our platform.
If you would like information on other types of personal data processing that we carry out, we invite you to consult our Privacy Policy, accessible at any time on our platform.
What is a cookie and does it identify you directly?
A cookie is a small “text” file placed and stored by a server on your device (e.g., smartphone, tablet, or computer) when you visit a website or use a web platform.
A cookie does not personally identify you; it only allows your device to be recognized via its IP address, as well as certain information about your browsing (e.g., browsing time, pages viewed, screen size, etc.).
What is a technical cookie and why do we use them?
The proper functioning of our platform necessarily requires the use of technical cookies, which we may use without your prior consent, based on our legitimate interest in providing you with a functional platform.
For example, a technical cookie allows us to remember your preferred language and display settings for easier navigation and future visits.
Although we do not recommend it, you can always disable these cookies in your browser settings by following the instructions provided for Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Safari, Firefox, or Opera.
However, please note that doing so may result in a degraded user experience. To restore full functionality, technical cookies will need to be re-enabled.
What is a statistical cookie and why do we use them?
A statistical cookie allows us to analyze how you use a web platform (e.g., time spent browsing, pages visited, etc.) in order to improve your experience and provide a service tailored to your needs.
On our platform, we use non-exempt statistical cookies, which may only be placed on your device with your prior consent expressed via our cookie banner.
What is an advertising cookie and why do we use them?
An advertising cookie may be used to deliver advertising on a web platform or to identify the source of a visitor’s access to the site (e.g., Google, Bing, etc.).
WE GUARANTEE THAT WE DO NOT USE ANY ADVERTISING COOKIES FOR THE OPERATION OF OUR PLATFORM.
What personal data do we process through cookies and for how long?
The personal data processed by the cookies we use include:
- Your IP address and a user ID created during your first connection to recognize you for up to 13 months.
- If you consent to statistical cookies, your personal browsing data on our platform (e.g., pages visited, browsing times, etc.) for a maximum of 13 months, non-renewable before any new connection after the 14th month.
Once these retention periods expire, we no longer keep any data relating to you. At most, your data may be anonymized for statistical purposes.
How can you control the use of cookies?
You may refuse cookies at any time using our cookie banner.
If the cookie banner no longer appears, you can also manage cookies through the "Manage cookies" tab on our platform, or directly in your browser settings by following the instructions for Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Safari, Firefox, or Opera.
What rights do you have to control the use of your personal data collected through cookies?
Applicable data protection regulations grant you specific rights that you may exercise at any time and free of charge to control how we use your data:
- Right of access and to obtain a copy of your personal data, provided this does not conflict with business secrecy, confidentiality, or correspondence privacy.
- Right to rectify personal data that are inaccurate, outdated, or incomplete.
- Right to request the erasure (“right to be forgotten”) of personal data that are not essential to the proper functioning of our services.
- Right to restrict the processing of your personal data, allowing temporary suspension of data use in case of dispute about processing legitimacy.
- Right to data portability, allowing you to recover part of your personal data to store or transfer them easily between systems.
- Right to provide instructions regarding the handling of your data after your death, either directly or through a trusted third party or heir.
To ensure that your request is processed, it must be sent directly by you to dpo@synneo.fr. Requests sent by other means cannot be processed.
Requests must come directly from you. Therefore, we may request proof of identity if there is any doubt about the requester’s identity.
We will respond to your request as soon as possible and no later than three months from receipt, in cases where the request is technically complex or if we receive numerous simultaneous requests.
Please note that we may refuse to process any request deemed excessive or unfounded, particularly due to its repetitive nature.
Can your personal data used via cookies be transferred outside the European Union?
The statistical cookies we use may send your IP address and user ID outside the European Union to function properly. In such cases, we guarantee that these tools strictly comply with data transfer regulations to ensure adequate confidentiality and protection of your personal data.
Who can you contact for more information about how your personal data is used?
To best ensure the protection and integrity of your data, we have officially appointed an independent Data Protection Officer (“DPO”) with our supervisory authority.
You may contact our DPO at any time and free of charge at dpo@synneo.fr for more information or details about how we process your data.
How can you contact the CNIL?
You can contact the “Commission Nationale de l’Informatique et des Libertés” (“CNIL”) at any time at the following address:

Can the Cookie Policy be modified?
We may modify our Cookie Policy at any time to comply with new legal requirements or to reflect new data processing operations that we may implement in the future.
